Showcase: The New Farm House in Creemore, Ontario

We have just put the last touches on a project in Creemore Ontario, called The New Farm. The local food education centre features windows and doors by Heckel, a hole house ventilation system by Zehnder and uses Ampack tapes for airtightness.

The owner of the building sought out to build as sustainable as possible, reducing energy consumption to passive house levels. Thus, Jamie Korthals - the general contractor of the building - reached out to Pinwheel. We were able to help them in this endeavour by supplying

  • windows and a main entrance door with triple glazing (u-value Ug = 0.6 W/m2K),
  • a ventilation system by Zehnder with 92% heat recovery and
  • tapes by Ampack for air and vapour tightness
